For more than four decades, Tere Fairchild has cultivated a diverse and expressive artistic practice spanning watercolor, painting, pottery, mixed media, and photography. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to experimentation, craftsmanship, and visual storytelling.
Earlier in her career, Fairchild gained international recognition as a large-format photographer, creating platinum and palladium prints that led to a solo gallery exhibition abroad. That photographic foundation continues to inform her sensitivity to composition, atmosphere, and light.
Today, she is perhaps best known for her reverse acrylic paintings, in which layers of paint and ink pigments create luminous surfaces alive with movement, depth, and vibrant color. Her work often evokes a sense of awe, wonder, and emotional connection.
Based in Dallas, Fairchild also maintains a strong connection to her community, regularly contributing artwork to charitable causes and fundraising events.
