Christopher Brown holds a degree in Design in Architecture from University of Florida and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from East Tennessee State University. His work has been exhibited widely across the United States and internationally, and is held in both public and private collections. Notably, his pieces have appeared on the sets of BBC television productions such as Holby City and Top of the Lake, as well as within corporate and healthcare environments including 1st National Bank of Tennessee, Aapri Clinical Research, the Heart and Vascular Institute of Michigan, and Health Wellness MD in Dallas.

Color lies at the center of Christopher’s practice. In 2020, he transitioned from traditional painting to digital media, allowing him to explore color with a level of freedom and precision not previously possible. Through digital technology, he engages in an almost limitless investigation of color relationships—layering, intensifying, and manipulating hues to create compositions that vibrate with rhythm and energy. His work is not representational in the traditional sense; rather, it is experiential, designed to evoke emotional response through pure visual sensation.

Blending photography, abstraction, and digital processes, Christopher’s work represents a compelling evolution within the digital art movement. He often likens his approach to that of a DJ—sampling textures, colors, and visual fragments, then deconstructing and reconstructing them into something entirely new. The result is a dynamic interplay of harmony and tension, where color becomes both subject and language.

Christopher collaborates with specialized printers in Dallas, Seattle, and Germany, selecting each partner based on the material surface and intended application of the work. Of particular note are his latest pieces printed on a specialized aluminum substrate—an exciting advancement that allows the work to move beyond interior spaces. These works are engineered for durability and can be installed outdoors, withstanding direct sunlight and heat while maintaining their vibrancy. This expansion into exterior applications opens a new dimension for collectors and designers seeking original, site-specific artwork that performs as beautifully outside as it does within.
